LINKY DINKS :: good stuff from around the web

It's definitely starting to feel like fall in these parts, which is both good and bad... Good because, hey, it's not hot anymore.  And bad because that means WINTER IS COMING.  And winter is bad.  (Right?  Anyone else with me on this?)  All the more reason to enjoy these last few weeks of perfect weather!  I'll be spending my weekend outside as much as possible - what do you guys have going on?

Meanwhile, check out what I've been up to this week!

Sooo... what are your thoughts on the color purple?

It's a real DIY party up in here! Colorful cake stands, awesome wall sconces, and super cool rolling coffee tables would make for some great weekend projects.

I've got kitchens on the brain (what's new?), so I'm definitely digging this roundup of eco-friendly kitchen materials!

Last year's Design Philadelphia was totally stellar and if these 2011 posters are any indication, this year is going to be AMAZING.

Speaking of years and whatnot, this 2012 wall calendar is absolute perfection.

My rug obsession continues with these new floor coverings from Blu Dot - one is even made from recycled newspaper!

This take on the indoor herb garden is genius: recycled wine bottles-turned-modern planters!

Finally, what would a week in the life this Adventurer of yours be without some amazing abstract art?? Vince Contarino and Cheryl Gail Toh definitely rocked my art department.

And that's a wrap.  Happy weekend, Adventurers!

xoxo

I didn't like purple at first because I thought that was Barney's color, but then again, I realized it wasn't purple. And since then, I'm loving purple mainly because of the appeal it has. I feel like I'm wearing a royal robe [nah, that's just my imagination]. I love purple now!
