Minieco :: DIY Paper Polyhedrons

Now, I don't know what I would do with these 3D paper shapes, but goshdarnit, I want to make some!  Kate from Minieco created some free printable templates so you can cut and fold and glue all the polyhedrons your heart desires.  She even suggests stringing them together to create a colorful garland--cute!

DIY :: Eames-Inspired Drinking Glasses

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was working on a TOP SECRET project for Curbly.  Well, the cat's out of the bag, the beans have spilled, and I'm singing like a canary... in other words, I posted my project this morning: some sweet Eames-inspired drinking glasses!  I break it all down on Curbly, so head over there for the full how-to.

Modern Baby Blankets :: The Purl Bee

I spotted these incredible baby blankets over on The Purl Bee and just about died.  Forget froofy blankets with flowers/animals/trains/cars/trucks/etc. ad nauseam, this is my kind of baby blanket.  Of course, I don't have babies, so I'd really prefer this in an adult-sized version.  One commenter suggested knitting all nine together to create one mega blanket.  Now that's a kindred spirit.

These modern baby blankets are available as a kit for $116, which includes 7 skeins of specially-dyed Alchemy Temple yarn, a full color printed pattern, and a Shout Color Catcher to use the first time you wash your blanket.
