Minakani :: Modern Wallpaper

I've seen this photo floating around the Internet for a while and I finally tracked down where it came from (it's little Della McAllister's room) and then tracked down who made the wallpaper. It was a long journey, but totally worth the trip, as you'll soon see. Turns out, French wallpaper company Minakani is behind this triangular awesomeness. Oh, and this and this and this.

I don't know if you can get Minakani wallpapers in the U.S., but I sure hope so. Because I have JUST THE SPOT for those fantastic triangles.

Vintage Wallpaper Collection :: Graham & Brown

Super exciting news for wallpaper lovers!  Graham & Brown has partnered with Hemingway Design to launch a new collection of vintage-inspired wallpapers that celebrate British creativity across the decades.  Needless to say, I'm a big fan of this collaboration!

The range includes four designs, each taking its inspiration from a different decade: DECO DIAMOND celebrates the glittering 1930s; with distinct graphic influences GRID is Mad Men 50s chic; LOOPY LINES (my fave) heralds from the free-flowing style of the 1960s; and DO THE STRETCH captures 70s glam rock with a hint of space odyssey.

They are all pretty gorgeous and decently priced at $85 for a double roll.  While I love the current selections, I'm crossing my fingers that new colorways will be introduced in the near future.  What do you guys think?  Which pattern is your favorite?  Share, share!

Guest Room :: Rug Wars

Wow.  It's been almost 2 months since I had a guest room update... and you know what?  It still looks the same.  I KNOW!  We're horribly, horribly slow with our home projects.  But, I'm planning on going to the paint store this weekend, armed with my wallpaper and fabric samples, and deciding on a wall color for good.  I swear it!  I'm going to finally pick a color.

Meanwhile, since I like to think about one million home-related things at once, I've been checking out possible rug options for the guest room and I've narrowed it down to three.  What?  The yellow and cream thing?  No, no, I'm not obsessed.  LIE.  I'm totally loving it right now.

Anyway, what do you guys think?  Rug one, two, or three?

Rug One: Lines Rug by Blue Pool Road

Rug Two: Dead End Rug from CB2

Rug Three: Facet Rug by DwellStudio
