I don't know that I've ever seen a piece of furniture with so many functions. At once, it's a table, lamp, and a single-drawer nightstand. Move things around a bit, and suddenly it's a vase! A table with a floating trivet! A stand-alone lamp! An iPhone charger! I mean, it's exhausting just listing all the possibilities.

You can't deny the charm of this modern, handmade furniture from Texas-based furniture maker Field Day.  From the envelope-inspired chest (made from solid Maple -- yum) to the shingled cabinet, every piece is infused with a playful, unassuming sweetness.  I particularly love how they describe their furniture as "always functional, never severe, and never so logical that it loses its intrigue".  Yes, yes... keep the intrigue going, please!
