Divide Bench :: BlankBlank

I spotted this beautiful bench during my Internet wanderings and was struck by how much it reminded me of this pet feeder.  It might be a bit overkill to have both, or maybe not.  What do I know?

Well, I do know that it's one sexy piece of powder coated steel, that's for sure.  The Divide Bench is fabricated from laser cut, 3/8" steel and would look amazing indoors or out.  I'd love to see it in a modern / Japanese-style garden.  Wouldn't that be beautiful?  I'll take it!

The designer, Mark Goetz, says the inspiration came when he noticed how often people just sit by themselves on benches.  Wanting to encourage people to interact, he created the Divide Bench.  The visual (and actual) break in the middle encourages people to move closer together.  Brilliant!
